Rudi Bauer, as a percussionist, isn't just responsible for powerful sounds. With his handpan, he creates laid-back grooves that lend a pleasant atmosphere to any event. Whether solo, with backing tracks, or in collaboration with other instruments like saxophone, violin, cello, or percussion... the magical sound of the handpan captivates everyone.

The handpan is a very new instrument made of sheet steel, whose shape is somewhat reminiscent of a UFO. It was modeled after the "Hang" sound sculpture by the Swiss company Panart, which was invented around the year 2000. Handpans are also related to the steel drum, which originated in Trinidad. Incidentally, Rudi Bauer plays a handpan made by the Berlin-based manufacturer "Innersound" in his videos.
